Hi all Little note as some of you may receive emails like the below from Vertex from time to time. The service is included in the training program we’ve signed up for. It's looking for instances of your PAC email address and your name located in a data breach as that’s the info it has on file relating to you to cross check. It doesn’t have your DOB, personal email, etc. As system admins myself and Lynda get copied in to these. The below emails are self-explanatory, and do not mean you have been or will be specifically targeted. If you get one of these the best general course of action is to just update your password for any relevant account, and you might like to ensure you have 2FA switched on/up to date if available as well. If you’re concerned, you can reach out to the relevant org and ask them what they’re doing about the breach. FYI, the Canva breach in 2019 was a pretty serious attack affecting about 139 million users. It’s unusual to see passwords or locations included in breaches. Usually it’s a combo of names, emails or DOBs. The semi-recent Qantas one is another example. https://www.oaic.gov.au/privacy/your-privacy-rights/data-breaches/what-is-a-...
