As Lynda said below, it’s time to roll out a little staff training in the IT/cybersecurity space. 

You all should all have received some emails from Vertex Cyber Security recently. Some of these may double up tomorrow—the system is a bit clunky, but it’s legit and free for PAC as a registered charity, so we’re rolling with it. 

Each is about a five-minute video plus a multiple choice recap quiz at the end of about 6 questions each. The vids have subtitles if that helps you. We hope you’ll find this all doable in about half an hour max. Do the modules in any order. 

I recommend clicking through the links in the emails provided rather than trying to navigate the online dashboard. 

  1. Welcome email - set up a password to log in to the platform
  2. Training - Phishing - if you don’t have this one yet, it’ll be with you soon
  3. Training - Password Security
  4. Training - Password Managers
  5. Training - Multi-factor Authentication
 
Please work through these by Monday 4th May. I’ll see on the admin end when these are completed. 

The system will email reminders to do each module until they’re completed.

Hi everyone, 

As Nate mentioned at the team meeting, we will be providing some IT training around phishing, multi-factor authentication etc to help manage PACA's cyber risk and security (and also because it's just good for us all to know!)

This training is part of the broader risk management strategies for PACA, and is a requirement for all staff to undertake. 

It won't be onerous - just some online videos and quizzes that will probably take you less than 30 minutes max. 

Nate will email you with the website details and instructions next week, and then we ask you to please complete prior to the date advised.
