I’m really pleased to share that today we’ve released the inaugural program for Kindred People, taking place on Boonwurrung Country this September.


It’s been a long and considered process to get here, guided by N’arwee’t Aunty Carolyn Briggs AM, our Indigenous Steering Committee, and a wide network of artists, Elders and collaborators. The program brings together global First Nations voices across performance, knowledge exchange, music and visual art, with a number of new works commissioned through this project.


There's so much that I am excited by – some bold premieres, some deeply reflective work, and space to gather, listen and connect. I feel grateful to be a small part of bringing this festival to audiences alongside such an extraordinary group of people, whose grace, patience and substantial contributions I acknowledge here.


If you have a moment, I’d encourage you to take a look through the program. It would be a thrill to have you join us for as many events as you can across our Monash campuses in September. Spreading the word through your networks would also be hugely appreciated.
