Thanks to those who sent feedback, questions or requested groups regarding the proposed Terms of Reference for the Working Groups and to everyone else who I'm sure has at least read them! We have now finalised the TOR, and they are saved in a new 'Working Group' folder in Sharepoint: CORE

Working Groups (Staff)

Terms of Reference finalised:

Terms of Reference - Working Groups - 2026.pdf These will be reviewed as needed.

Staff assignment - Katherine and I have determined the following staff assignment after the consultation (in no particular order):

Environmental Sustainability: Rosie, Edwina, Sam

Membership and Development: Rosie, Claire, Lynda, Cecile

DEI&A: Cecile, Virginia, Nate

Procedure Development: Claire, Lynda, Sam, Nate

Next steps / timeline:

Establish group communications (maybe a Teams chat group?)
Appoint a group convenor. This role will coordinate the meeting schedule and report on the activity, and can be rotated on an as-needs basis. It can be any staff member, it's not linked to your position.
Schedule your first meeting and let Katherine and Lynda know when. We'll then send through some prompts to help get the groups on their way.

Let's have the working groups established with convenor and first meeting scheduled by the end of May please.

Team Meetings / Water Cooler:

We get it - we need time to do our work and not just be in meetings! From 1 June we'll shift the Team and Water Cooler meetings to fortnightly ongoing to create some more space in our diaries.

@Samantha Hortin can you please adjust:

Wednesday Team mtgs: FN from Wed 3 June, duration 90 minutes (aiming to finish early where possible)
Watercooler: Cancel 2 June, then FN from 9 June please for 30 min

If we haven't answered any questions raised we can address them within the groups as needed.

I guess as the GM this is always going to sound trite- but looking forward to getting these groups running and empowering staff to have more influence and be able to progress things that may just have been bubbling away in the background in a meaningful way 🙂
